2-hr Guided tour of the Vajont Dam and the town of Erto by natural guides all year round on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am, 2pm and from April to October also 4pm, booking not required, with bad weather the tours will be cancelled, 10 € pp or for kids under 14 and owners of FVG card € 5. Short guided tours (40 min, every 30 min) accompanied by people, who lived the tragedy. You will visit the sacral place of the Vajont dam, where almost 2000 people died in a night because of the fall of the Mont Toc into the dam and the wave that came out of the artificial lake destroyed two villages and their inhabitants. The dam was built with a lot of disagreements and Engineers’ evidences proving that the dam was not safe and should have not been built.

Sunday 23 September visits from 2.30 pm and 9 October closed as memory day. Exhibitions “The disaster of Vajont – memories” and “Vajont: images and memories” at the“Visitor centre of Erto and Casso” in the village of Erto, in the building of ex primary school, where you can find documents and researches about the disaster announced before it happened.
